We recommend submitting notices by email for fastest processing.
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:
We reserve the right to make a determination of whether content is infringing before taking action, particularly where the claim appears to lack merit or where fair use may apply.
If your content has been removed as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error (e.g., because you have the right to use the content, or because of misidentification), you may file a counter-notification.
Send counter-notifications to: support@lazyfans.com (subject line: "DMCA Counter-Notification")
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will:
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We maintain records of all DMCA notices received and track repeat infringement activity. Accounts found to be repeatedly uploading infringing content are subject to permanent termination.
The DMCA takedown process is intended to protect legitimate copyright interests. Misuse of this process — including submitting false, frivolous, or bad-faith notices — is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, incurred by the affected party.
We take abuse of the DMCA process seriously and reserve the right to take appropriate action against parties who submit false or abusive notices.
This policy applies specifically to copyright infringement claims under the DMCA. For claims involving trademark infringement, defamation, or other intellectual property issues, please contact us at the address above with full details of your claim.
